Schedule... PA-Grappling is flexible, offering group and private lessons that can adapt to fit your schedule. We anticipate increasing class numbers throughout the year. Current class schedule: As always, we are adaptable to our students needs, and can alter and/or expand classes if and when the need arises.
Dues: $50/month for grappling & MMA, or $60/month for all classes (adding the Muay Thai), or $8/per individual class drop-in fee. If students want to attend 2 classes in a row (on Wed & Sat), it's $12 drop-in fee for both classes. Monthly dues required paid within the first week of every month.
Beginners class must be attended to yellow belt level before one may attend Advanced class, where "randori" (live grappling and sparring) begin. This course is roughly 2-3 months. This rule is flexible based on individual goals and/or past experience. This is the only way to achieve yellow belt at our school, unless you can demonstrate ability and credentials from a legitimate combat grappling school and system. Review class reviews all techniques from the previous weeks, and is ONLY open to students who have attended at least 1 class from the previous week. In other words, you can't show up and pay for just the review class, and learn weeks worth of moves for the price of 1 class. It's reviewing moves you should already have been taught, not learning new ones. Advanced class is available to students who graduate the "Beginner's class," learn the basics, and graduate to yellow belt. Special exceptions can be made, and we do honor ranks and experience from legitimate BJJ, submission grappling, and mixed martial arts schools. MMA Power endurance Cardio is a half-hour session run by sports conditioning expert Allen Coble, where students workout like professional MMA and submission grappling competitors. Excellent for getting in shape and building core strength, a must for anyone considering competition. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi is learning to grapple with the gi, far more technical (both offensively and defensively) than no-gi grappling. A must for anyone interested in becoming a good submission wrestler. The gi negates crude attributes; you have to actually know what you're doing to escape when wearing a gi! Muay Thai & Women's Thai is the brutal and highly practical art of kickboxing created in Thailand and adopted as the primary striking style of most MMA fighters. Our Thai also incorporates much western boxing, as well as MMA-based clinch work. The Sunday "Women's Thai" class is (obviously!) for women only. Open Mats: students may work on anything they want, including live grappling and sparring. Instructor will answer questions on past teachings, but will not teach new moves. Instructors are not obligated to train personally with students during open mat; it is open for everyone (including instructors) --find someone to work with, then work with them! YOU MUST BE AN ENROLLED STUDENT ATTENDING CLASSES to attend Open Mat! Private lessons are available at $30/hour for instruction of advanced techniques.
